I’m Baaack!
Hello long lost souls! After a brief hiatus, I am back in full swing with one more in tow. I have been busy, busy creating life, and have been performing my infamous disappearing act where I go missing for 10 months and spontaneously reappear with that new mama glow. With 4 kids and a puppy, our hearts are so full these days, and I couldn’t be happier.
I am delighted to introduce you all to our newest edition, Miss Marigold Beatrix (Goldie Bee). She arrived on August 2nd, 2024 two days before her expected due date, weighing 8 pounds 12 ounces, which is on par with her three older siblings. She is the perfect addition to our family, and her siblings simply can’t get enough of her. We have been gobbling up every sip of this newborn stage with her, trying not to miss any of these fleeting moments.
This past Friday, she turned 6 weeks old which is bittersweet for sure. I am happy to be past the initial postpartum recovery period, but sad with the passage of time. On the other hand, we have noticed a lot more eye contact and frequent smiles emerging which is super exciting. Even though she’s only been with us for few short weeks, now I truly can’t imagine our lives without her.
Today, Goldie and I went for our first walk around the pond in our neighborhood, just the two of us. It felt like the first step in my wellness journey since becoming a Mom of 4. I am planning on using the short time I have between Oxford’s kindergarten drop-offs and pick-ups to get active and get back on track with my fitness goals, as well as get some fresh air with Goldie and some much needed one on one time. Around naps and walks, I am hoping to also squeeze in some time to blog. Obviously, Goldie is the queen of my schedule these days and she rules the roost when the other kidlets are in school, so wish me luck! I am confident we will make it work one way or another.
Well, I hope this explains where I’ve been for the last little bit. I plan to continue sharing inspiring and creative ideas, recipes, home decor, party planning, fashion, plenty of newborn, family friendly content, and so much more with all of you. So please stay tuned…
I hope you are all doing well these days, and that your Fall is off to a great start. Let’s get “back to life, back to reality” and enjoy the crisp Autumn air, colorful changing leaves and fragrant pumpkin spiced treats, and count down to sweater weather together. After all it’s Fall, Y’all!
