Ingredients

  • 2 Loaves White Bread

  • 1/2 Cup Summer Savory

  • 2 Tsp. Salt

  • 2 Tsp. Pepper

  • 2 Tsp. Powdered Ginger

  • 1 Yellow Onion

  • 3/4 Cup Unsalted Butter

  • 1/2 Cup Half & Half Cream

Directions

  • Tear bread into 1/2 inch pieces into a large bowl or roasting pan.
  • Sprinkle savory, salt, pepper and powdered ginger into the bowl, and mix until evenly distributed.
  • Peel and cut the onion into 4 equal quarters. Using a food processor, pulse the onion until finely diced but not too much liquid. Add to the bread bowl, and gently mix until combined.
  • Melt butter and pour into the bread mixture slowly as you continue to mix.
  • Add cream, and continue to mix until the bread mixture is moist but not soaking. Adjust the butter and cream accordingly.
  • Best stuffed inside of a farm fresh turkey and cooked according to turkey directions, but it may also be cooked in an oven safe baking dish covered with tin foil and cooked low and slow for 2 hours at 200 °F.
